Leslie Kunkel

Leslie Kunkel, age 45 of Akron, died at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 following a courageous battle against heart failure. Leslie was born on January 12, 1977 in Alliance, OH. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1995 and earned a Dental Assistant degree from Akron Dental Institute. She married Darin Kunkel on June 22, 2002.

In addition to her husband Darin, she is survived by her parents, Christy (Bob) Beichler of Wooster; Les Murphy of East Rochester; sister and brother-in-law, Rachael (Duane) Ambrose of Akron; Drew Beichler of Wadsworth; Lindsey (Dusty) Hendrickson of Mansfield; Kevin (Amy) Beichler of Smithville; Darin’s siblings, Dan (Nikki) Kunkel, Toni (Dave) Landau, Karla (Brad) Ruckman, Laura (Jeff) Jones; Darin’s mother, Madonna Kunkel; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Francis Kunkel; grandparents, Al and Izetta Murphy, Chris and Patricia Fisler; and sister-in-law, Tia Beichler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 17^th at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Parish, 2603 Benton Ave. Akron, OH 44312. Graveside services will be held privately at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Matthew Parish.
