Leroy Wagler, age 84, passed away October 22, 2017.
Born in Uniontown, Leroy lived most of his life in Hartville, Ohio. He was the owner/operator of Wagler’s Excavating and was a member of Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church. Leroy enjoyed gas engines, trap shooting, hunting and fishing. He also loved traveling to and working with churches and missions in Haiti.
Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Marie; brothers, Eli, Mahlon, Albert and Paul; sister, Adeline; son-in-law, Wayne; grandson, Scotty; great granddaughter, Kayla Renee; he is survived by sons, Thomas (Sadie) of Montana, James (Ruth Ann) of Beach City and Mark (Ruby) of South Carolina; daughters, Ruth (Lee) Hostetler of Tennessee and Martha (Philip) Yoder of Sugarcreek; 16 grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; sisters, Ada Schlabach and Miriam Wagler.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church, 10547 Market Avenue N, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Uniontown, Ohio.
