Laura M. (Willoughby) Hardesty

Laura M. Hardesty, 67, passed away October 2, 2014 at her home.

She was born in Kent, graduated in 1965 from Field High School where she was a majorette and member of the basketball and track teams. Laura was employed 23 years with Kemper Insurance Company as a claims typist and lived in Mogadore the past 39 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; parents, Grace and Raymond Willoughby. she is survived by son, Thomas (Kim) Hardesty of Stow; sisters, Betsy (Stephen) Mako of Brimfield, Susan (Jeff) Eddy of Stow, Rose (Jim) Spencer of Orlando, Fla; brother, James (Becky) Willoughby of Edinburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, the Gibson family.

The family will receive friends 11- 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, where funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Minister Kay Jordan officiating. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
