Genevieve L. Peters

Genevieve L. Peters, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2014.

Born in Niles, Ohio, Genevieve lived in the Suffield area most of her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Genevieve was an active member of Mogadore United Methodist Church and helped her husband establish the Ellet Sign Co. She persued a variety of other interests including, breeding and raising horses, she was active in 4-H Clubs and the Girl Scouts. Genevieve was an avid traveler and enjoyed summer trips to Lakeside U.M. Camp. She enjoyed numerous safari hunting trips to Africa with her husband and was a member of the Safari Club International. Genevieve took several bus tours to many popular cities with her daughter Claudia. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pets.

She is survived by her son, Gregory S. (Sheri) Peters; daughter, Claudia L. Peters; granddaughters, Amanda and Caroline; sister, Joanne Sever; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., with Pastor Don Viebranz officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a church of your choice, The American Heart Association, P.O.
