Kenneth W. Hamric

Kenneth W. Hamric went home to his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on March 18, 2012. Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Ken was born in Sutton, W.Va., and spent most of his career in Information Systems as an Executive, starting out at Goodyear then with Massillon Community Hospital, Kent State University, Edwin Shaw Hospital and Emergency Medical Physicians (EMP). In retirement, his passion was helping seniors choose the healthcare insurance plan that was best for them, making many new friends along the way.

Ken came to know Christ when he was 16 years old and remained faithful to the end as he finished the race as strong as possible for his Lord, Jesus Christ. He always had peace in knowing that God was in control and everything was for His glory.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maxine Hamric; and brother Bradford N. Hamric, he is survived by his loving wife, Bernice; sons, Daniel W. Hamric of Columbus and Mark D. Hamric of North Canton; granddaughter, Katie Hamric; brother, Stuart A. Hamric; sister-in-law, Francine Hamric; aunts, Eva Ramsey, Bessie Hamric and Marie (Roland) Frame; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5pm, on Sunday April 22, 2012 at Grace Bible Church with Pastor Jerry Harpool officiating; with dinner following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grace Bible Church, 5781 Manchester Rd., Akron, Oh 44319 and/or the American Cancer Society.
