Kenneth L. “K.L.” Riley, age 68, died peacefully on November 13, 2014.
A life resident of Akron, Kenneth graduated from Ellet High School and retired from Roadway Express, where he was proud to have earned the “One Million Mile Accident-Free” recognition. He was currently working part-time at Lakemore United Methodist Church. K.L. was a member of the Moose, Eagles, Sons of Herman and the West Akron Poker League. He enjoyed playing poker, vacationing in Las Vegas and at the beach, and any time spent with his family and grandkids.
Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; and parents, Kenneth and Joan Riley, he is survived by his companion, Fran Fair; sons, Kenneth Lamoine Jr. (Nora) and Josh (Judy) Riley, Robert (Mindy) Fair; daughters, Kerry Jarvis (Nate Glista) and Anne Marie Ross (Jerry Kraft); grandchildren, Logan and Jacob Jarvis, Marlena Riley, Mitchell, Graicen, Cade, Reilee, Chase, Maddox and Loni Fair, Tyler and Colton Ross and Khouri Kraft; brothers, Richard (Margaret), Dennis (Paula) and Michael (Toni); and sister, Sandra (James) Linn.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., and Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312. Graveside service and burial will follow Monday at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to The ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005.
