Karen Lee Ann Traugh

Karen Lee Ann Traugh, born on April 18, 1937, was received into the arms of Jesus, her precious Saviour on December 6, 2015. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, she is survived by her children, Debby Bond, Leslie (Bob) Jolliff, Rick (Debbie) Traugh, and Karen (Al) Hajdarwish; grandchildren, Daniel (Julie) Jolliff, Stephanie Jolliff, Ian (Ashley) Bond, Nadia, Riyah, Mariyah, and Musa Hajdarwish; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Zoe Jolliff; brother, Arthur (Joan) Swanberg; and special niece and nephew, Doris (Jeff) Segrave and Norm (Linda) Swanberg. 


Karen was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a magnificent grandmother. There was nothing that surpassed her love for her family. She had a heart of mercy and compassion for everyone she met and was fulfilled by many friends who became like family. She was active as a Sunday school teacher and a PTA home room mom as she loved children with all her heart. 

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Summa, especially Debbie, Beth, Michelle, Lisa, and Pastor Mike. 

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron/Ellet, Ohio 44312, where Funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. with Pastor Michael Shaub officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
