June E. (Patterson) Hershberger

June E. Hershberger, 90, passed away peacefully at home October 20, 2013.

She was born in Canton and lived in Akron for more than 50 years. June was a homemaker and she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, word searches and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Daniel; she is survived by her son, Larry (Kiyomi); daughters, Judy Bazzle and April (John) Griggs all of Akron; grandchildren, Robert Bazzle of Columbus, Marie (Joe) Bazzle of Minerva, Daniel (Cindy), Michelle (Eric) and Jay Griggs, all of Akron; great grandchildren, Cierra, Dustin and Brittnee (Brandon) Bazzle; great great grandson, Levi Bazzle. June is also survived by Larry and Steven Clark, James Edinger and Tierra Thomas, who also thought of her as “grandma”. June’s family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Breen and Hospice of Summa for all the special care she received.

Funeral service Thursday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor John Walker officiating. Burial at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton . Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
