Judith A. Mellinger

Judy A. Mellinger (Smith) passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Tim Smith, sons Glenn Jr. and Mark, and her siblings Clarita, Tom, and Hazel. Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Glenn, and sons Gregg (Gail), Scott, and Mike (Jody). She is also survived by grandchildren, Bethany, Christopher, Aja, Hunter, and Matthew, as well as sister, Jenny Blankenship (Steve), brother, Terry Smith (Brenda), and numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families. 

Judy, known as Mikey to her loved ones, graduated from Hower Trade School in 1960 and spent many years as a cosmetologist, proudly cutting her family’s hair as well as many others in the community. She worked at St. Matthew’s Parish and School, where her sons all attended. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Judy was sassy, silly, and brutally honest, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was beautiful inside and out and loved her family fiercely. She lived and died with the heart of a lion. She is now reunited with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
