On June 1, 2015, all of Judy’s prayers were answered. Her week was filled with so many loved ones spending time with her, celebrating her life. Her home was surrounded with family and friends. Her life and purpose was fulfilled according to HIS will and plan. Her Pastors came and loved on her and prayed over her, and as Pastor Web said “AMEN”, Judy so peacefully left the life she knew for the ETERNAL LIFE THAT JESUS PROMISED FOR THOSE WHO CALL UPON HIS NAME TO BE SAVED. We praise our God for taking from her all of her sickness and pain and trading it for a brand new body to forever worship Him. Well done, my good and faithful servant.
Judy was born in Akron, and has lived in the area all of her life. She attended Community Christian Chapel, and her passion was her love for the Lord and her “Charlie” and family. Because of that, she enjoyed photography, writing poetry and spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Catherine Spradlin; and brothers, Darrell and Donald, Judy is survived by her best friend and eternal soulmate, her husband of 53 years, Charles Icenhour; son, Brian (Fran) and his family, Cheynoa, Cheyenne and Luke; daughter, Denise (Mervin) Yoder and her family, Clay, Shana, Nick (Traci) DeBerte, Anna, Kathy, Steve, Geoff, Alice, John, Abby, Levi, John, Sophia, Caroline, Julia and James.
Family and friends will be received Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Larrison officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Community Christian Chapel, 2306 18th St. SW, Akron, OH 44314.
