Juana E. “Janet” Knight, 69, went home peacefully to be with Jesus, March 1, 2014, with her family by her side.
Janet was born in Corral, Chile, where she met her husband Frank who was there on a business trip, and later, the two were married in Italy. Janet and Frank have resided in Barberton, Ohio for the past 40 years. She was a world traveler and a very talented seamstress, artist and cook, creating many beautiful items and memories for her family to cherish. Janet was generous and welcomed people into her home, but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Frank; sons, James Quiroz and Edward (Chrystal); daughter, Jinka (Daniel) Bloom; grandchildren, Peyton, Arianna, Larissa, Gabriel, Evan, Samuel, Deven and Dominic; countless friends and loved ones. The family would like to thank Summa Health System Barberton Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the love, comfort and care given to Janet.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 12 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.),with Pastor Thomas Bloom officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the funeral home. A private inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Summa Health System Barberton Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 155 5th Street, APCU 1 West, Barberton, Ohio 44203.
