Joyce Richards Malinas

Joyce Richards Malinas, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2017. Born in West Virginia, she moved to the Akron area after graduating and was employed with B.F. Goodrich for 43 years. Joyce loved spending time at the ocean, and enjoyed painting as a hobby. She was a member of the Jim Beam Association. Preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Henry Turner; husbands, Darrell Richards and Ed Malinas, she is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Edward John) Maloney; grandson, Daniel Maloney; and brother, Neil (Barbara) Turner and his family. Funeral Service will be Friday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends and family will be received prior to the service Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The family suggests memorials to St. Joseph Mission, 17 Bilbo Hill Drive, Poplarville, MS 39470.
