Joseph J. Veverka

Joseph John Veverka, 47, passed away June 1, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Parma, he most recently lived in Atwater. Joseph was employed with Swagelok Co. in Solon, Ohio as a Lean Project Manager. His previous employers included; The Little Tikes Co., Ametek, TLT-Babcock Inc., Lubriquip Inc., and The University of Akron.

Preceded in death by his father, William Veverka, Jr.; Joseph is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susan (nee Sokol); sons, William and Andrew; mother, Bernice Veverka; brother, Steven Veverka (Heidi Dobson); many nieces and nephews; cousins, Matt, Susan and Tony Iacobucci, Danny Veverka, Roman Kovach and Dee Bonani. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Robinson Memorial Hospice Team.

Visiting will be held Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, Ohio 44260, with Father Michael Williamson celebrating. Procession will originate at the church. Interment immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery.
