Joseph Croce

Joseph Croce Jr., age 89, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2016. Joseph served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church for over 50 years. 

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Peggy; parents, Joseph and Theresa; brothers, Frank, Danny and Louie; sisters, Isabelle and Elsie, Joseph is survived by his loving daughter, Teresa; precious granddaughter, Caprice; loves of his life, great-grandchildren, Olivia and Joey; sisters, Virginia (Vito) Panaciulli and Lena (Jim) Marsh; and many nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank Jeff Christ for all his love and support; and the Akron Visiting Angels for their wonderful care and kindness. A special thank you to Drs. Garton and Salem, Eva and Molly. 

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Father Michael Williamson presiding. Procession will form at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
