John E. Fowler Sr., 91, passed away on Oct. 14 2018, in Palm Bay Florida after a short illness.
He was born May 24, 1927 in Hammond Indiana, to the late Elza and Rose Fowler. John was preceded in death by Shirley Fowler, his wife of over 60 years. He is survived by his sons, John (Jane) Fowler II and Mark A. Fowler; his 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. John was one of the principal forces behind the success of the U-Haul Co. He was a strong, tough leader. John was a founding member of the Suffield Lions Club and served in various civic organizations.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, 11:00 am, at the Hopkins Lawver MOGADORE funeral home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, Ohio 44260. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family would ask for a donation in John's name to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Luncheon at the Sunrise Restaurant in Warren, Ohio at 1:00PM.
John loved his wife and family. He was loved and respected by his Family. His spirit and memories of him will live with us forever.
Some of it's Magic. Some of it's Tragic. But he had a good life all the way.
