John E. Wood

John E. Wood, age 71, passed away on January 3, 2015. Born in Akron, he lived in the area his entire life, and served in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents; and three brothers, John is survived by sisters, Judy (Dan) Vaughan and Lucy (Hubert) Flatten; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Janice; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Monday, 12 noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor David Hohlbaugh officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
