John C. Cain

John C. Cain, 82, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2023.

Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, he spent most of his life in Mogadore. John graduated from Hower Vocational School. He retired from Akron Equipment Company after 39 years. John was a member of Community Life Church, formerly known as Mogadore Christian Church. He was formerly active in Mogadore Jaycees and a member of the Mogadore Moose Lodge. John enjoyed spending time with his family, golf, fishing, camping, traveling, and tinkering in his garage.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Florence; brother, Jack; grandson, Aaron David. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eileen; son, John M (Marcia); daughter, Nancy, grandchildren; John J (Sarah), Christopher (Jacki), Kaitlin (John); great grandchildren, Aaron, Ellie, Owen, John “Jack”, Lucy, Evan, Charlie, Charlotte, John F.

Friends and family will be received Monday, September 11 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, OH 44260. Additional viewing will be held Tuesday, September 12 at 10 a.m. Service to be held at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Mogadore Firefighters Association, 135 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, OH 44260.
