John H. Beck

John H. Beck, age 94, joined his wife in Heaven on March 23, 2016. 

Born in Akron, he graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Beck retired from General Tire after 28 years of service, and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for over 60 years. John loved animals, especially squirrels, and was a kind-hearted soul who was always witty and fun loving. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Eileen in 2010; and sisters, Jean and Dorothy, he is survived by loving and caring friends, Beverly and Charles Whitcraft; and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect Street, Akron, Ohio 44304 with Rev. David Nevergall officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials are suggested to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
