Joann Bonner

Joann Bonner, age 83, passed away February 3, 2022. 

She was born April 3, 1938 in Philippi, West Virginia and married her husband, Dale, on December 14, 1957. Joann was a homemaker, devoting her time to raising her children. She was a member of the Massillon Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping, traveling, singing, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Gladys; two brothers, Anzel and Maynard Booth; and one sister, Marie Whalen. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dale Bonner; children, Keith (Tina) Bonner, Carmen (Jim) Mick, Michaele Bennett and Kevin; grandchildren, John David (Sara), Ashley (Todd), Bo, Brittany (Andrew), Cody, Jacob, Tyler, and Isabella (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Jordan, Braden, Peyton, and Owen; brother, Randall Booth; and sister, Jean Weaver. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elara Caring Hospice. Friends and family will be received Sunday, February 6th from 2 to 5 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 7th at 11 a.m. with an hour of calling beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron.
