Jim H. Yee

Jim H. Yee, age 64, passed away suddenly on October 26, 2016. Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident. Jim was a dedicated employee of Summit County, retiring in 2013 after 30 years of service. He loved being with his family and was a great lover of animals and enjoyed spoiling his dogs, Hildie, Isabella and Tucker, as well as his children’s cats. Preceded in death by his parents, Ton and Helen Yee, he is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kathy (Porter); son, Andrew; daughter, Chae; brothers, Dennis (Sue), Gene and Gate (Jodi); very special aunt and uncle, Judy and Drew Alexander; sisters-in-law, Miriam (Bill) Heilman and June (Harry) Harris; and brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Porter. Jim will also be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends and family will be received Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Funeral service will be Monday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Grizzle officiating.
