Jeanne M. Lippe

Jeanne M. Lippe left this world to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, December 28, 2023, with her beloved family at her side.

She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all those who were lucky enough to know her. Although small in stature, she had a big heart and was the glue that held her family together, cherishing each and every moment spent with them. She epitomized selflessness, strength and grace as her deep-rooted Catholic faith guided her daily interactions while setting an example for others to follow.

Jeanne loved nothing more than partaking in her grandchildren’s various games, matches, performances, banquets, celebrations, and other activities. She was also extremely proud of her two children and all that they have accomplished. Jeanne was an avid sports fan and longtime supporter and season ticket holder of the Lake Blue Streak Football Program, and spent many years as an active member of the Lake Athletic Booster Club. She loved rooting on her Cleveland sports franchises, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the West Virginia Mountaineers, and the Kent State Softball Program. Jeanne also was a lifelong patron of the arts; she always enjoyed a good marching band, a symphony concert, or a theatrical production.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joe Lippe; and her parents, Richard and Evelyn Stalnaker. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Randy) Wadley; her son Steve (Erin) Lippe; her eight grandchildren, Emily, Adam, Ava, Ryan, Maria, David, Joshua, and Matthew; as well as many cousins and loving friends.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd., Akron, OH 44312. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Wednesday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kawalec presiding, with one hour of visitation prior at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place after the Mass at North Canton Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, the Oak Clinic for Multiple Sclerosis, or to the Lake Football Program ℅ the Lake Athletic Booster Club.
