Jeanette L. Greeley

Jeanette L. Greeley, age 95, peacefully passed away in her sleep on June 5, 2018. Born in Akron in 1922 to Flay and Winona Greeley, she was a graduate of Akron Central High School and went on to complete one year of college at Hammel Business School. Jeanette worked her entire career at Goodyear Tire & Rubber as an Executive Secretary. She was a member of Alpha Iota Sorority and Family of Faith United Methodist Church. Jeanette enjoyed playing golf, and loved to shop with her niece from Florida. She also enjoyed spending time with Roy on his farm. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Caldwell; fiancé, Roy Rice; and nephews, David Fox and Glenn Caldwell. She is survived by her sister, Esther Fox; nieces, Janet, Carol and Sally; nephew, Larry; and several great-nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral Service will be Monday, 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Shultz officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
