Jean Scarcella (nee Kelley)

Jean Scarcella, 83 years, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2013.

She was born in Brohard, West Va., lived in the Akron area most of her life, spending the past four years at GreenView. Jean was a devoted homemaker and also had been employed at Ohio Bell as a long distance switchboard operator. She enjoyed puzzles, bowling, bingo and talking about her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henry; she is survived by daughter, Cathy (David) Hoffman, Sr.; son, Joseph (Lori) Scarcella; grandchildren, David Hoffman Jr., Jesse (Anne), Sara, Timothy and Jonah Scarcella; brothers, Arlie Paul and James Kelley. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street (1 block NW of the square of 619 and Cleveland Ave.) Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
