Jean Brower

Jean Brower, age 93, passed away December 5, 2014.

Born in Clarksburg, W. Va., she lived in the Akron area most of her life. Jean retired from Sears, where she worked in the Parts Department. She enjoyed sewing and making lamps, and was a “tinkerer extraordinaire” and a “speed demon”. But most of all, Jean was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by sons, Rick and Bob (Diane); daughter, Lana (Bud) Davis; grandchildren, Danny, Neil, Michelle and Terri; many great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim (Elaine) Cottrill.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
