Janice S. Vereshack

Janice S. Vereshack, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2024. She was born on January 10, 1953 to parents, Willie and Vera Lawson. Jan worked at Akron General for 38 years, retiring in 2015. After retirement Jan took on her favorite role, one that she quickly mastered, Grandma to her twin granddaughters. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones/friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Lawson. Survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Russell Vereshack; son, Russell (Lori) Vereshack II; granddaughters, Hannah and Kaylee; brothers, Ron (Kathy) Lawson and David Lawson; sister-in-laws, Leanne (John) McGrew, Linda (Richard) Goldsmith, and Pam (Dan) Larson; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St NW, Uniontown, OH 44685, from 1pm until 3pm, with a service immediately following.
