Janice C. Horn, 83, went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2012.
Born and raised in Akron, and graduated from East High School, she later lived in Orange Co., California for 28 years prior to moving back to New Baltimore, Ohio and most recently the Plain Twp. area. Janice was a member of Marlboro Christian Church. She loved collecting antiques, and owned and operated Janice’s Antique Store while in California. Janice also loved the art of painting, quilting, and making Christmas dresses for her granddaughters. She enjoyed gardening, and helped care for all of her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, and son, John Wesley; she is survived by her husband of 61 years, John W.; children, Rebecca (Gary) Palmer, Daniel (Carmella) Horn and Melissa (Scott) Reinhart; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Horn; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean (Darrell) Goodson and Sara (Ray) George; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service Tuesday, 12 noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. (one block NW of the square of Cleveland Ave. & 619), UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 with Pastor Ken Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m. SUNDAY.
