James H. Miller

James H. Miller, age 89, passed away October 29, 2013.

Born in West Palm Beach, Fla., he lived in the Mogadore area most of his life, graduating from KSU High School. James served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was employed with Matco Tool Company. He was a member of Mogadore Christian Church, Mogadore Lions Club, Disabled American Veterans, Turner Club and Amos H. Englebeck Masonic Lodge No. 751 F&AM. James was a KSU sports fan “ROR”, and he played in the Mogadore Lions Golf League on Friday nights for many years. He also enjoyed family fishing trips to Canada.

Preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood and Bernice Miller; wife, Mary A. Miller; brother, Eugene Miller; and sister, Nina Alice Bray. He is survived by son, Timothy (Janet) Miller; daughter, Tami (Mickey) Marozzi; and grandchildren, Andrew (Megan) Evans, McKinzie and Mikayla Miller.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Mogadore Christian Church, 106 S. Cleveland Ave., with Pastor Elmer S. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
