James E. "Jim" Anderson

James E. “Jim” Anderson, age 77, died suddenly after a long illness on July 16, 2013.

Jim was born in Pedro, Ohio, and lived in the Akron area most of his life. He retired from Coca Cola after 14 years of service, and served in the National Guard. Jim was a member of the Deerfield Charity Masonic Lodge #530 F&AM, 32nd Degree A.A.S.R., Valley of Canton, and Palmy Eastern Star Chapter #114.

Preceded in death by daughters, Cindy Jo and Julie; he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara E.; daughters, Jamie (Doug) Dye of Akron and Tina (Greg) Laney of Barberton; grandson, J.D. Dye; great-grandson, Mason Dye; and sisters, Betty Hall, Faye Burge, Rachel King, June Eden and Nancy Fournier.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
