James M. Cross

James M. Cross, age 53, passed away on January 14, 2016. 

Born in Akron, he grew up in Mogadore and lived in the Uniontown area most recently. Jim graduated from Mogadore High School in 1980, and was a Navy Corpsman in the 2nd Marine Division, serving throughout the world. He served the Navy in Beirut, Lebanon during the U.S. Embassy bombings. Jim was a longtime volunteer at Camp Y-Noah. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and camping. 

Preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Cross, Jim is survived by his son, Alex; daughter, Rachel; mother, Weltha Cross; brother, Will Cross; sister, Judith (Jeff) Bolanz; and several nieces and nephews. 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. The family suggests memorials in honor of Jim to Camp Y-Noah, 815 Mt. Pleasant Road, Clinton, OH 44216.
