James B. Trace

James B. Trace Jr., age 83, passed away unexpectedly January 30, 2015.

Jim was born September 8, 1931 in Meadville, Pa. to the late Marian Fry and James B. Trace Sr. He graduated from Meadville High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict. After graduating from Mount Union University, Jim worked at Goodyear as Manager of Identification and retired from Goodyear after 30 years of employment.

He was involved in numerous organizations in Mogadore including the Jaycees, the Athletic Boosters, where he served as treasurer for eleven years, the Mogadore Lions Club, was a recipient of the O.H. Somers award for community service, was a lifetime member of the Mogadore VFW, and attended the Mogadore Christian Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his son, James B. III; brother and sister-in-law, William and Helen Trace. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna; son, Steve (Beth); daughter, Wendy (John) Hanigofsky; daughter-in-law, Janice Trace; grandchildren, Katie and Jessica Trace, and Jack and Erin Hanigofsky.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Mogadore Christian Church, 106 S. Cleveland Avenue, MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, with Pastor Elmer S. Johnson officiating. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials to the Mogadore EMS, 135 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, OH 44260; or the Mogadore Christian Church at the address above.
