Jacob Traugh

Jacob “Red” Traugh, 77, passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 29, 2013.

Born in Copen, W. Va., he had lived in Mogadore since 1967, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Traugh was employed with Akron Standard Mold and Wright Tool Company, and attended Faith Family Church. He loved being outdoors, and was an avid hunter and excellent gardener, but most of all he loved his family very much.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, Shermen and Charles; he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen; children, Rick (Debbie) of Lexington, Ky., Debby Bond of Cuyahoga Falls, Leslie (Bob) Jolliff of Tallmadge and Karen Traugh (Ala Hajdarwish) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; grandchildren, Dan (Julie) Stephanie, Ian, Nadia, Riyah, Mariyah and Musa; brothers and sisters, Robert (Helen) Traugh, Helen Seiford, Thelma Patterson and Shud (Ann) Traugh; brother-in-law, Arthur (Joan) Swanberg; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12 noon with Pastor Rick Jolliff officiating. Mogadore VFW Post 8487 will provide military honors following the service. The family suggests memorials to the Mogadore Fire & Rescue Dept., 135 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, OH 44260.
