Jack W. Keller We celebrate the life of Jack Keller, 86, who went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2016.
Jack was a lifelong resident of the Akron area, residing in Mogadore for over 55 years. Preceded in death by his much-adored wife of 49 years, Natalie Keller, he is survived by his daughter, Laura McDowall; sons, Jeffrey (Kerri) and Dave (Shannon); six devoted and loving grandchildren, Ben, Bobby, Jack, Lauren, Nicki and Brooklyn; and his brother, Jerry, and sister, Phyllis (Jack) Rardin. Jack was especially blessed with five wonderful years of marriage to his wife Alice.
Mr. Keller graduated from Akron East High School in January 1948, served in the US Air Force and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Akron. He worked for 36 years at Goodyear Aerospace in the Wheel and Brake Division. Jack loved all things Mogadore: athletics, academics and the Marching Wildcat band. He was a founding member of Crossroads Bible Fellowship where his stewardship and service will be missed, and he was also a longtime member of the Mogadore Lions Club.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312, and his service will be at Crossroads Bible Fellowship, 737 George Washington Blvd., Akron, Ohio 44312 at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7, with Pastors Russ Heiser and Rich Messenger officiating.
