Isabelle M. Ayers, age 98, went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2018.
Born in Mill Creek, W.Va. on March 30, 1920, she lived in the Akron area for the past 75 years. Isabelle was a charter member of The Hillwood Chapel and was a Sunday school teacher for 38 years. She graduated from The Akron School of Cosmetology and worked in the field for 27 years.
Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Ayers; parents, Charles W. and Myrtle B. Wolfe; brothers, Arnold, Russell, Glenn and James Wolfe; sister, Altha Snelson; and great-grandson, Bryan James Duffey. She is survived by her children, Fred G. (Barbara M.) Ayers of Akron, Charolette J. (James C.) Blankenship of Kentucky, and Stuart G. Ayers of Akron; grandchildren, Kimberly Douglas, Cheryl Schmidt, Kara Louk, Christine Duffey, Gregory Blankenship and Jeff Blankenship; many great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Robert L. Snelson; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and Friday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312, where Funeral service will be held Friday, 2 p.m. with Rev. Curt Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to The Hillwood Chapel, 4824 S. Arlington Road, Uniontown, OH 44685.
