Ireland J. “Jim” Kinser Jr., age 80, passed away on January 22, 2018.
Born in Nashville, Tenn., he lived in the Akron and Suffield areas most of his life. Jim was employed as a meat cutter at Acme, retiring in 1999 after 40 years. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances C. “Charlene”; sons, Michael of Texas and Tim (Elizabeth) of Maryland; daughters, Mary Ann Embacher of Kent, Ohio and Kathleen (Gary) Garrett of Akron; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice Frasier of Michigan.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Father Michael Williamson presiding. The family suggests memorials to St. Matthew Catholic Church; or the Suffield Fire Department, 1256 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, OH 44260.
