Hilda Jane Wright (nee Herr)

Hilda Jane Wright, age 90, joined her husband and family in heaven on July 20, 2015. 

Born in Kenmore, she was the youngest of nine children born to Earl and Melissa Herr. Hilda was a wonderful, loving mother and wife, and was a life member of VFW Post 8975 Ladies Auxiliary. 

Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Edmun in 1991; sons-in-law, Patrick Rowan and Bill Douglas; and all of her siblings, she is survived by daughters, Jane (Tom) Marr, Etta Rowan, Claudia (John) Grimes, Nancy (Bill) Martin, and Edie Douglas; grandchildren, Amy Rowan, Sarah and Rachel Marr, Todd Grimes and Kendra Grimes (Zahir Kanjee); great-grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Tristin, Sean and Roya; family friend, Ron Kelly; and many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will be received Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. with Rev. John E. Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
