Helen Yee

Helen Yee, age 83, passed away on December 18, 2020. A life resident of Akron, she was born on March 19, 1937 to Tom and Zita Yee. Helen graduated from East High School and attended The University of Akron. She was a legal secretary her entire career. Helen’s hobbies included knitting, traveling and cooking. Her favorite food was Chinese - she loved going out to eat in Chinese restaurants and cooked all holiday meals with a Chinese twist. Helen loved to knit and always had an afghan “in progress”. She was a loyal Tribe fan and attended every Indians game she could with her sister, Esther. Helen is survived by her daughter, Lisa Tabet; and her sister, Esther Yee-Anderson, who currently lives in Missouri. Services will be held Wednesday, December 23rd at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Visitation will begin at 12 noon, and the Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Masks and social distancing protocols will be observed.
