Helen D. Waszil "Grandma"

Helen D. Waszil “Grandma”, age 84, is now residing in Heaven with her angels. Born in Akron, Ohio, she lived in the area all her life. Helen was a kind gentle woman who made you feel right at home. She enjoyed working with her plants, flowers, listening to country music, and riding on the back of a Harley with David. Her love of family and friends was the joy of her life. Preceded in death by her husband, John Waszil; sons, Jonathan and Paul Waszil; granddaughters, Shannon Waszil and Jennifer Waszil-Abshire; and all of her brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by children, Susan (Martin F.) Carrol, Steven Waszil (Kenny Forrer), Mary (Keith) Kisner, Evelyn (Tom) Williams, and Frank (Cindy) Waszil; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312.
