Helen Trautman

Helen Trautman, 88 years, passed away October 5, 2013.

She was born in Huntington, West Virginia and lived in the Akron area most of her life. Helen has been employed with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company over 20 years, was a member of The Chapel and enjoyed participating in church activities. She loved dogs.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Christine; and sister-in-law, Sue. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ed; son, Jeffry M. (Chris); daughter, Betsy A. Snyder; grandchildren, Sarah (Nick) Eslinger, Rachel (DJ) Rippl; great-grandchildren, Jost and Tesvanesh Eslinger, and Cole and Drew Rippl; brother, Paul Ruley Jr.; sister, Shirley "Buddy" Herazo.

Funeral services will be held Monday 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Pastor Sam Rittenour officiating.  Private family burial at Hillside Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and from 12 noon until service time Monday.  The family suggests memorials to The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio 44304.
