Helen M. Lemmon

Helen M. Lemmon, age 102, passed away April 19, 2013.

Born on October 30, 1910 in Zanesville, Ohio, she moved to Akron in 1942. Helen was employed with the U.S. Post Office and retired in 1973. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for over 70 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard in 1983; daughter, Connie Jo in 2006; brother, Edwin Bauer; and sisters, Grace Joseph, Kathryn Wilson, Mildred Blackburn and Lillian Millfelt. She is survived by her son, Bernard J. Lemmon, Jr.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 North Prospect Street, Akron, Ohio 44304, with Pastor Eileen Woyen officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the church from 12 noon until service time.  Memorials may be made to the church.
