Harry Ernest Brent

Harry Ernest Brent, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. 

Born in Akron, Ohio he lived in Hartville for the past 40 years. Harry graduated from Springfield High School and was employed for 40 years in auto sales. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golf and playing with the grandkids. 

Preceded in death by his mother, Grace Young; aunt, Ruth Alexander; mother-in-law, Alice Joy Conner; and father-in-law, Orville John Conner; he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gayla; son, Nathan (Rita) Brent; daughters, Shelly (Mike) Tripodi and Tracy (Rick) Freeman; grandchildren, Hannah, Ava, Sophia, Ricky, Noah, Evan and Gracie; and many nieces and nephews. 

Friends and family will be received Sunday, from 5 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 12 to 1 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Funeral service will be Monday, 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Jack Coontz, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
