Harold E. Elliott, 75, passed away June 15, 2012.
Born in Akron, he lived in the area most of his life, and was a 1954 graduate of Central High School.
Harold was employed by Columbia Chemical (PPG) in Barberton and at General Tire. He retired as the Building Superintendent at the Akron-Summit COunty Public Library. Harold especially enjoyed his work driving for Alpha Express and Smithers. He served as an Elder at Covenant Presbyterian Church, where he was also a member of the Nominating Committee for the pastor. Harold enjoyed spending his free time bowling, playing bridge and watching sports.
Preceded in death by his parents, Francis Elliott and Ruth Pigg; he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley; son, Michael (Susan); grandchildren, Andrew David (Cassie) and Thomas James; and step-father, James O. Pigg.
Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312 from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. David Weyrick will officiate. Burial will take place at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
