Gloria J. Rodenbucher

      Gloria Jean Rodenbucher of Randolph, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022.  She was born in Akron, Ohio on January 24, 1941 to William and Anna (Bailey) Kelley.  She graduated from Ellet High School in 1959.  She married the love of her life, Edward Rodenbucher, Sr. on June 2, 1962 and later was the proud Mother to 6 loving sons.  Gloria celebrated her 60^th Wedding Anniversary with her husband this year surrounded by family and friends which she was greatly proud of and made her extremely happy.

     A deeply religious woman who strongly professed her Catholic faith through prayer and kind, benevolent actions will be greatly missed.  The most important thing to Gloria was family, and she loved hers’ very much.  Our family gatherings were always something she looked forward to.  She enjoyed playing cards, watching movies at home with Dad, and keeping in touch with extended family and friends by sending kind letters and celebratory cards for birthdays, special events and holidays.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Kelley, Jr.  She is survived by her sisters:  Delores (Robert) Winkler, Kathleen Cruise and Sister In-Law Nancy Kelley… Loving, husband, Edward Rodenbucher, Sr.  Sons:  Edward (Carla) Rodenbucher, Jr., Paul (Deborah) Rodenbucher, Richard (Tina) Rodenbucher, Jeff Rodenbucher, Roger Rodenbucher, and Keith (Mary) Rodenbucher.  She also leaves behind her Grandchildren:  David Rodenbucher, Jeffrey Rodenbucher, Makenna (Ryan) Opeka, Amanda (Ryan) Flick, Chad Rodenbucher, John Rodenbucher, Jacob Rodenbucher, Tiffany Rodenbucher, Lucas Rodenbucher, Ryan Rodenbucher and Cayden Rodenbucher.  Gloria was blessed with a great- grandson as well, Brooks Opeka.

     Calling hours will be TUESDAY, December 20, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home located at 547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260 with the Rev. Fr. Zachary Coulter as celebrant on WEDNESDAY, December 21, 2022 at 10 am.  Burial will be immediately afterwards at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
