"Together Again"
Gladys R. Bauman, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2020.
Born on December 19, 1925, she grew up in Tallmadge and attended Tallmadge High School, then went on to live in Atwater and Suffield. Gladys was employed with McDonalds for 17 years. She was a former member of Atwater United Methodist Church and currently a member of Eastwood Church of the Brethren. In her spare time, Gladys enjoyed sewing, reading and quilting.
Preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Robert A.; daughters, Cheryl Jeffrey and Alice Boganwright; great-granddaughter, Abbie Jeffrey; parents, Okie and Cora Oxford, siblings, Doneth Hawk, Ruby Oxford and Dickie Oxford;, Gladys is survived by son, Robert W. Bauman (Sharon); daughters, Marilyn Rainey (Dave), Linda Mullins (Mike), B.J. Strahler (Earl) and Nancy Radtka (Ken); 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Oxford; and sisters, Norma Shaffer and Hope Paulus (Dick).
Family and friends will be received Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Masks and social distancing protocols will be followed. Private burial will be held at the Tallmadge Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be held later in 2021. The family suggests memorials to Eastwood Church of the Brethren, 581 Darrow Road, Akron, OH 44305.
