Geneva A. Henry, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Born in Akron, she lived in the area her entire life. Geneva was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church for over 60 years where she also taught Sunday school classes. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Henry; and sisters, Florence Dauber and Louise Smith, Geneva is survived by daughters, Sherry (Jim) Behringer, Kim (Rob II) Hardy and Beverly Henry, all of Akron; grandchildren, Andrea (Tim) Carver, Robert (Erica) Strickland, Kara (Mark) Reigle, Rob Hardy III and Scott (Missy) Hardy; great-grandchildren, Cory and Mitchell Carver, Rachael and Robby Hardy IV, Anthony and Allison Hardy, Zachary, Talan and Rileigh Strickland and Payton and Quinn Reigle.
The family would like to express a special thank you to ClearPath Hospice and especially Krista, Debbie and Trinity for their loving care of our Mom.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m., and Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron/Ellet, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott D. Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to ClearPath Hospice, 475 Wolf Ledges Pkwy., Akron, OH 44311.
