Gene M. Laston

Gene M. Laston, 60, passed away December 30, 2024.

Born in Akron, OH, he lived in Uniontown. Gene graduated from Springfield High School. He was an employee at Speedway for 6 years. His passion was golf, and he served as a golf pro locally. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Gene is preceded in death by his father, Gene M. Laston. He is survived by his sons, Jarryd and Gage Laston; daughter, Brianna Laston; grandchildren, Braylon, Isla, and Judah; his mother, Mary Ann Laston; brothers, Fred and Gary Laston; sister, Patricia Reese; and dear friend, Billie Kay and her son Alex.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Nativity of The Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd., Akron, OH 44312, from 9 to 11:00 a.m., with a memorial mass immediately following. A luncheon will follow beginning at 12:00 p.m.
