Gail Sholley, 85, passed away on December 23, 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born on June 5, 1930 in Akron, Ohio where he resided his entire life. Following graduation from Central High School, he served in the US Marine Corps from 1951-53. He was employed by the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for over 30 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed puzzles and spending time at the Hartville Flea Market.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Sr. and Goldie; brothers, Guy Jr., Gene, Gilbert and Glenn; sister, Grace Boggs; and loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Anne. He is survived by sister, Gloria Wallace (Chuck); daughters, Diane Sulak, Karen Jenkins (David), Sharon Herceg (Tim) and Denise Meyer; “son” and caregiver, D A Dully (Brian); grandchildren, Stephen Herceg, Angela Sulak, Stephanie Herceg, Samantha Meyer and Jessica Meyer; twin great-granddaughters, Lilliana and Giavanna Sulak-Bryan; sisters-in-law, Loneta Sholley (Boise, Idaho), Gloria Peercy, Tina Filaseta and Sue Campbell (Bradenton, Fla.); brother-in-law, Jack Annibal (Tucson, Ariz.); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral service immediately following at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312.
