Frank E. Auman passed away September 5, 2014.
He was born to Joseph and Gatha (Kinney) Auman in Terra Alta, West Va. on March 27, 1935. After graduating high school, Frank grabbed his child bride and headed to Akron, where he worked at Goodyear for 38 years, then at National Machine for 15 years. To say he lived a good and prosperous life is an understatement. He could build or fix anything, ride a tractor like a pro, trim a Christmas tree to perfection, shoot trap, hunt and make his own shells. Frank played and taught euchre to many, was a great business mentor, never met a stranger, had a wicked sense of humor and loved his family to the moon and back. His absolute best quality was his love and care for his beloved wife of 60 years, Carolyn (Sullivan) Auman. His life is an example of selfless dedication to family, friends, hard work and enjoying the journey along the way.
He will be missed every day by his wife, Carolyn; sister, Pat, Enicks of Florida; son, Danny Auman (Conner) of North Canton; daughter, Beth Brill (Eric) of California, Debra Deihl (Rick) of Virginia and Cathy Wyatt (Patrick) of Louisville. His pride and joy of 11 grandchildren, David Auman (Amanda), Jessica Franks (Andy), Jenny Cross (Matt), Ryan Brill, Julian Brill, Evan Brill, Autumn Terry, Sara Matherly (Nate), Erin Wyatt and Sean Wyatt; plus seven great-grandchildren. We take great comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and that he is going on the best deer hunt of his life!! Aim straight and true, Dad and remember – call trump on three of a kind!
