Frania P. Castner

Frania P. Castner, 65 years, passed away October 28, 2013 of CNS Lymphoma.

She was born in Bergen-Belsen, Germany and lived in the Akron area. Frania devoted her entire working career in nursing. Preceded in death by parents, Izak and Janka Potok; she is survived by her husband of 21 years, Kenneth F.; step sons, Eric (Lisa), Edward (Erica) and Joseph (Joey) Castner; grandchildren, Kiersten, Bailey, Evan, Lauren, Amelia, Alex, Lydia, Brooke; brothers, Peter (JoAnne)Potok, Szaja Potok; sisters, Mania Aikman, Lola (Dave) VanSickel, Jennetta Potok; many nieces; nephews; and her loving dog, Sarah.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street, (1 block NW of the square of 619 and Cleveland Avenue) Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to service time at the funeral home. Chaplain Eileen Schonfeld will officiate.
