Frances M. Vanek

Frances M. Vanek, 93, went home to be with the Lord December 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Jim in 2011.

As a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she enjoyed sharing her faith with family and friends by making her church the center of her life. In retirement she enjoyed traveling from Ohio to California to Prince Edward Island. She also enjoyed poetry and flowers.

Her family, including children Douglas (Sharon), Joe (Karen), and Sandy (Bob) Tebbutt; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, wish to share in their joy that grandma is alive in Christ. Her family also wishes to thank the employees of Crossroads Hospice and Gardens of Western Reserve for their compassionate care.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), with Pastor Ted Barter officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. Private burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. The family suggests memorials to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E, Green, Ohio 44685.
