Frances E. Palmer

Frances E. Palmer, 93, passed away June 7, 2014.

Born in Niket, Maryland on October 10, 1920, Frances lived most of her life in the Akron area. She was a member of North Springfield Presbyterian Church and Lady Annie Lauder Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was a loving homemaker for her family.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne; she is survived by her husband of 71 years, John; daughters, Jeanne E. (Rick) Cline; grandchildren, Matthew (Elaine Chin) Phillips, Nate (Kristen) Cline and Mike Cline, all of Akron; great grandchildren, Trystan, Kaitlyn and Landyn Cline. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Nursing Staff at Summa Health System Akron City Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., with The Rev. Dr. Janet C. Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to North Springfield Presbyterian Church, 671 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 or the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
